USAAAB: East Day One Recruiting Tidbits

With the US Army All-American game comes plenty of recruiting news, and FOXSports NEXT sums up the latest from East Day One practice inside.

Below are the latest recruiting notes from the Army All-American East squad during day one.

Muhammad To Announce

Don Bosco Prep (NJ) defensive lineman had a big day on the field, but also confirmed that he will announce his college decision during Saturday's game.

His finalists are: Alabama, Notre Dame, Miami and Rutgers.

Quick To Pick

James Quick will announce on Saturday during the game. The five-star receiver from Louisville Trinity says he has not made his mind up on the choice yet, but knows Ohio State, Oregon and Louisville hats will be on the table.

Green Names a Leader

Derrick Green, Richmond (Va.) Heritage's bruising back says Michigan is currently his leader, but Florida State recently offered and he likes the Seminoles' depth chart. He says Auburn, Tennessee and Miami (Fl.) are also in the running.

Some have wondered about the weather up north and if that will affect the Wolverines negatively, but Green said he actually likes the cold weather. He plans to decide in January.

Gibson To Take Visits

Wide receiver Shelton Gibson from Cleveland Heights will make his commitment after his official visits to Ohio State and Tennessee. He has already visited Kentucky and West Virginia officially and says those are the four school he will choose from unless a new program jumps in.

Other Notes:

Penn State offensive lineman commit remains solid to the Nittany Lions and will play center for the week on the East squad.

Bishop Kenny High School (Fl.) WR Ahmad Fulwood, Pendelton (SC) DL Michael Hill, Mallard Creek (NC) High WR Marquez North, Hillsborough High (Fl.) DL Jordan Sherit, and Winter Park High (Fl.) QB Asiantii Woulard will all arrive later in the week due to injury.
