OL likes new coach, plans to enroll early

Kyle Jones is a talented offensive line prospect from Mulberry High and Scout caught up with him to discuss the latest.

Kyle Jones switched his commitment to Western Kentucky recently and he talked about the season they just had.

"Western Kentucky's season went pretty good, it would have been nice to win a few more games, but all in all I think they had a good year."

Jones, 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds, made his commitment not long before Willie Taggert left to take the coaching job at South Florida. He talked about how that made his official visit a bit odd.

"My visit there was a little awkward, about three hours after I got there coach Taggart told everyone he was going to USF," he said. "But I still had a great time with the staff that was there and meeting the players. I got to see all the beautiful scenery around school the school, I really enjoyed it."

Jones says he's already had a chance to talk to new coach Bobby Petrino.

"I've talked to Coach Petrino, and really like him a lot," he said.

Jones, who plans to enroll into school later this month, likes his chances of playing early next season.

"I havent talked much about with the new coaches about playing time. But, we have talked about working hard and the chances of me be able to earn some playing time."
