Gilmore loving Under Armour

LSU defensive tackle Greg Gilmore is enjoying the competition and camaraderie of the Under Armour week. The South View (Hope Mills, NC) standout has been dominating at practice this week and he's also been quite the social butterfly off the field.

Greg Gilmore said it's great to match up against the nation's top talent this week and it's even more fun to mess with them about their recruitment.

"I'm having fun, I'm loving it out here, trying to get a lot of these guys to go to LSU, guys that signed already even if they're going to school next week, I'm still trying to get them to go. I'm having fun and playing around with these guys," he said.

"It's good competition, you have to play really serious and have a good attitude."

Gilmore and new defensive line commitment Quay Bain have also been spending plenty of time together and have developed a good bond. They both see a lot of opportunity for them at LSU, especially with many of the d-line stars leaving this year.

"I think that I can jump in with the twos," Gilmore said.

"I think I'm mentally ready to start, but I may not be physically ready, so maybe with the twos. If not, I mean I'll take a redshirt. I love it there so much that really now playing time isn't a huge thing for me."

Gilmore said he has a great bond with all the coaches at LSU and he talks to Coach Chavis and Coach Miles the most. He said there's no way he'll even consider changing his mind about the Tigers. Stay tuned to FOX Sports NEXT for all your recruiting coverage.
