USAAAB: Florida Players (defense)

Six defensive players from the state of Florida will be playing in the US Army All-American Game on Saturday.

DE Jordan Sherit -- One of the top defenders in the greater Tampa area, Sherit made an early commitment to Florida and never wavered. He's rock solid in his decision to become a Gator.

DT Keith Bryant -- One of the top defensive tackle prospects in South Florida, Bryant made a very early commitment to Miami. He opened things up recently and took a visit to Purdue with a couple teammates. Now he plans to see Florida State, South Carolina, and Georgia later this month. Miami and FSU seem like the top two.

LB Daniel McMillan -- Widely considered the best linebacker prospect in north Florida this year, McMillan is the real deal at First Coast. He's an elite level talent who committed to Florida real early in the process. He took a recent visit to Ohio State but seems to be very solid in his pledge to the Gators.

CB Nick Washington -- One of the top defensive back prospects in the Jacksonville area, Washington has the ability to play either corner or safety in college. He's well coached, plays at a very good small school program, and has been committed to Florida for a long time now.

CB Mackensie Alexander -- A very good defensive back playing at one of the state's most talented teams, Alexander recently named Rutgers his leader over Ole Miss, Clemson, Texas A&M, Kentucky, and others. He's been all over the place throughout the year in naming a leader so he seems to be wide open with about a month left in the process. He and his brother, Mackenroe (another 2013 grad), want to play in college together.

P Johnny Townsend -- One of the state's top punters, Townsend made an early commitment to Ohio State.
