Clayborn Talks In Home

Jamaal Clayborn made his college decision prior to the 2012 football season. Since that time, Clayborn has remained firmly committed to the Bulldogs of Mississippi State. While many of his peers still have some thinking to do, Clayborn is simply counting the days to until he can put pen to paper and finalize his decision to become a Bulldog.

Coach Dan Mullen and Clayborn's area recruiter, Greg Knox, stopped in for a visit on Saturday.

"They came and stayed a couple of hours," said Clayborn. "Coach Mullen talked to me about what to expect and what it means to represent the University.

"It was a good visit and I enjoyed having the chance to just sit and visit with them for a while.

"After they left here, they flew to Florida and met with my mom."

Clayborn says he and his mother were able to compare notes following her visit with the Bulldog coaches.

"My mom said the visit went really good," said Clayborn. "She said they answered all of her questions.

"I know she had a bunch of questions of academics and all of that.

"I know my mama and I know that's important to her."

The next step in the process for Clayborn is his official visit which is scheduled to begin January 18th.

"It's all shut down for me," said Clayborn of the recruiting process. "I called and told everybody when I committed and told them what my decision was.

"They have all respected my decision and it's been pretty quiet.

"We're going to have a big deal at the school on signing day and then I am just going to be getting ready for next season."
