Hinsdale Central (Ill.) 2014 tight end Ian Bunting added his first in-state offer Saturday.
"Coach Tim Beckman had told me earlier in the day to make sure I talked to him before I left from the visit," Bunting said. "So he pulled me aside and talked to me about the Illini family and how family oriented the program is."
He continued, "That is when he told me that I had earned a scholarship offer."
"I really like how Beckman and the rest of the coaches made sure to talk about how the team is family oriented," Bunting said. "Because that is very important to me. One of my favorite parts of football is the brotherhood that develops throughout the season."
The Saturday visit went smoothly, and ended with a pretty exciting event.
"We met at the football offices then went to the basketball game," Bunting said. "It was a great game, the Illini won big over a top ten ranked Ohio State team."
But the best part of the day, was receiving his third offer.
"The offer was amazing, I am really excited about the offer and grateful to the coaches and team," Bunting said. "I can't wait to keep in contact with them and hopefully visit again soon."
Illinois isn't the only school that has been expressing interest in the 6-foot-6, 215 pound prospect.
"I have been hearing more from Ole Miss, Alabama, and Oregon," Bunting said. "And Maryland and Yale stopped by the school recently." Stay on FOX Sports NEXT for the latest on Bunting and the rest of the Midwest class of 2014.
