It was a good day in San Antonio for Tinley Park Andrew junior running back Jarvion Franklin, who had a good showing Friday at the U.S. Army All-American combine.
"I thought I did alright, but I could have done better especially in the one on ones," Franklin said. "I know I need to work on and I want to work on my 40 time, well really I am planning on working on everything this off-season."
And as for his junior season, that went very well too.
"I think my junior season was pretty successful, I rushed for 1052 yards and 15 touchdowns and we made it to the first round of the playoffs," Franklin said. "We lost to Benet in the playoffs. Last year they only won one game, and turned around and lost one game the next year."
As for Franklin's style of play, that is pretty straightforward.
"I think I am a consistent getting at least five yards a carry," Franklin said. "I am reliable and explosive and I think I am a complete running back."
Recruiting is starting to pick up for Franklin as well.
The only place that Franklin has visited is Northwestern, but he knows exactly what he is looking for.
"I have visited Northwestern and it was okay, but that is the only place I have visited," Franklin said. "I want to go to a really big school, with a lot of students. A big school."
