Treyveon Percell had a big year for St. X, rushing for 643 yards and 12 touchdowns as a backup. The 5-foot-10, 188-pound back, felt good about his performance last season.
"I feel like I played pretty good, being in the situation I was in (as a backup). I got better and better as the season went along," said Percell.
Percell took advantage of the skills he possesses to contribute to St. Xavier's 8-5 season.
"I'm very fast. My footwork is really good and I run hard," he said. "I'm trying to improve my receiving skills. I'm trying to improve my cuts even more and staying a tad bit lower when I run."
Percell has taken one trip at this point, but he's got an interest in a few programs and he hopes to hear from them in the future.
Next year will be a big year for Percell and St. Xavier as it's his senior year and an opportunity to win a state championship and show more colleges what he's capable of.
"I'm very excited about next year. It's going to be amazing. We have a lot of guys coming back and we also have new coaches. I can't wait to see how we develop as a team," he finished.
