Gray Pledges to Bulldogs

Coach Tim Brewster continues to make his presence known on the Mississippi State recruiting scene. After picking up a 2014 commitment yesterday from Memphis standout Nikia Cathey, Brewster nabbed the verbal pledge of wide out Donald Gray earlier today.

"I talked to Coach Brewster and he was real excited," said Gray of his commitment. "Coach Mullen is supposed to be going to be calling in just a little bit.

"I am so glad to have this off of my shoulders. I don't have to worry about who is calling and who's not calling.

"I am real happy, man, real happy."

Gray chose the Bulldogs over offers from several programs.

"Tennessee offered me early and I had offers from Arkansas, Ole Miss, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisville and a few others," said Gray. "I am set now though.

"I just feel like Mississippi State is the place for me and I like everything about the program.

"The coaches are all real good and Coach Brewster really wanted me."

With his college destination set for Starkville, Gray reports that he is ready to close out his recruitment.

"I am done with everything now," said Gray. "I am going to visit Mississippi State the weekend of February 2nd and that's going to be it for me.

"I am so relieved to have this behind me.

"I am just ready to get to work."
