Tate Sets Trips

Federal Way (Wash.) wide receiver Mike Tate breaks down his final four and planned official visits…

Federal Way (Wash.) wide receiver Mike Tate has trimmed his list to a final four of Eastern Washington, Idaho, Montana and Portland State.

"Things have been going great, so far I have only taken a visit to Montana," said Tate. "I loved it there. It was great; there was nothing I didn't like."

"The visits that I have left are Eastern Washington (1/11), Idaho (1/18) and Portland State (1/25)," said Tate. "They are all pretty even, but Montana is my #1 right now because it is the only one I have visited. I still have no idea."

Tate talked about the factors that will impact his decision and if coaches have been applying any pressure to make a choice.

"Probably the coaching staff, where I feel most comfortable and the position coach," said Tate. "All of them have been great about me taking my time."

Two of his Federal Way teammates, CB D'Londo Tucker and MLB Albert Havili, are also receiving interest from some of the same schools. He talked about the potential of playing together at the next level.

"We have talked about it, but we still all want to go where it is best for each of us," said Tate. "We could end up playing together or not."
