Meadows Pledges To Kentucky

Saturday morning Kyle Meadows had seen enough to know his future would be as a member of the Kentucky Wildcats. FOXSportsNEXT.com spoke with Lakota West head coach Larry Cox for the latest.

For West Chester (Ohio) Lakota West head coach Larry Cox news of his standout offensive tackle Kyle Meadows committing to Kentucky came as a surprise early Saturday morning.

"Kyle called me and said he wanted to be a Wildcat," said Cox. "I told him he should come home and let his visit set in before making such a big decision as kids can get caught up in the moment. However, Kyle has already taken two solid visits to Oklahoma and Louisville and I feel he's seen enough to know when it's the right place for him."

It didn't take Meadows long to convince his head coach Kentucky was the right place for him.

"Kyle reminded me that I had told him he would know when things were right," said Cox. "During our talk everything he told me proved he'd given this decision some serious thought and was not a rushed decision. I'm very happy for Kyle as he's such a great kid and he'll do some great things at Kentucky in the future."

FOXSportsNEXT.com will speak with Meadows following his official visit as NCAA rules prohibit contact with prospects while they are on campus.
