Barker and Bruins Parting Ways?

Sandy (Utah) Alta wide receiver Ammon Barker committed to UCLA back in November, but hasn't heard from the Bruin coaching staff as of late…

Sandy (Utah) Alta wide receiver Ammon Barker is really sure where things stand with his commitment to UCLA.

"They haven't really contacted me recently, so I don't know," said Barker. "I am thinking about decommitting and going somewhere else."

Barker has resumed talks with some of the programs that were after him when he initially chose the Bruins.

"I have talked to Hawaii, San Diego State, and Colorado State," said Barker. "I am trying to set up some visits."

Barker said the communication shut down when his primary recruiter, Marques Tuiasosopo left UCLA for a position at Washington.

"It kind of stopped when coach Tui left," said Barker. "I mean I have to talk to the coaches and see where they are at. See if I still have a spot."

Barker is feeling the stress of being back open after believing his college decision had been made.

"Yeah, I mean a little bit," said Barker. "It was all final and then this happened, so I am back into it."
