Barker was one of the high profile juniors to take a trip to Kentucky and meet with the UK staff. Barker said he enjoyed himself in Lexington.
"It was great," Barker said. "I had an awesome time."
Barker had been lightly recruited by the previous staff, but after a previous meeting with Stoops and his new coaches, it was clear that he would be a priority for the new regime. Was this trip and the previous meeting enough to help UK in the Barker recruitment?
"Yes, they definitely made up some ground (on the other schools)," said Barker. "I will be back down there again," he continued.
"I met with Coach (Neal) Brown and Coach (Mark) Stoops the longest. They were great guys and very genuine," he finished.
