Taleni Picks Pitt

The Kailua (Hawaii) defensive tackle, Jeremiah Taleni, is headed to play in the ACC...

Just a couple days after making a cross-country flight, and then back, Kailua (Hawaii) defensive tackle Jeremiah Taleni knew where he wanted to go to college.

Taleni had visited Pittsburgh over the weekend, his first, and lone official visit.

He had said he was leaning towards the Panthers, but wanted to discuss the decision with his parents.

On Tuesday, Taleni made the call.

"I committed to Pitt this afternoon (Tuesday) around noon," said Taleni.

He becomes the second Hawaii native to commit to an ACC school, joining fellow Aloha State defensive tackle Scott Pagano, who is committed to Clemson.

Brandon is in his eighth year with Scout.com, currently as a National Recruiting Analyst and West Regional Manager. Prior to joining the Scout.com Recruiting Team, he was a team recruiting writer.  He's been covering recruiting for the Scout.com network since 2003.
