The 5-10 175 WR from Tampa's Gaither High School visited the Ball State campus this past weekend and after a few days of reflection, gave the Cardinals and Head Coach Pete Lembo his commitment.
"I was able to get up there and really enjoyed it," Oyegunle said. "The players were cool and nice and the coaches were great and the facilities were better than I thought they would be. After I got home and talked it over with my family, I just really felt like it was the best place for me."
Oyegunle chose Ball State over offers from Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Western Michigan, Navy, Colgate, Holy Cross, Lehigh, North Dakota State, Samford & Tennessee State. Shug had set up a visit to Florida International, who just offered this week, for next weekend, but that visit may not happen now.
In Oyegunle, the Cardinals get a dynamic and athletic space player. We project he will line up in the slot most of the time, but he proved on his game film, that he is capable of making plays in space no matter where he lines up.
"I like to spread out and get in space and make plays. I get the ball on screen passes and running plays. I just like to get the ball in my hands any way I can."
