South Florida DB to watch for

Weston Cypress Bay junior standout Marquise Dudley-Jordan is a good defensive back prospect from south Florida.

Marquise Dudley-Jordan (Weston, Fla./Cypress Bay) is one of the top defensive backs from Florida in the next class of 2014. Like many of his teammates at Cypress Bay, he wants to work hard this off-season, as they lost a heart breaker in the state championship game against Apopka.

"For us juniors it's all about focus," Dudley-Jordan said. "We have to work hard to get back there next year. We want to be victorious. We got back at it about three days after the loss. There is no off time and now it's the off-season. We have to work every chance we get."

Dudley-Jordan, 6-foot-0 and 180-pounds, is a cornerback that will get a lot of looks and things should really start picking up for him soon.

"I really improved this past season," Dudley-Jordan said. "I improved on breaking on the ball and reading plays better. I doing 7-on-7 and that has helped me a lot."

Dudley-Jordan camped at FSU, Miami and Alabama this past summer but at this time he doesn't hold any scholarship offers.

"I have a ton of schools that are interested and say they are going to come see me this spring," Dudley-Jordan. "Coaches have certainly come by the school of late. I don't have any offers yet but I am very interested right now in FSU, Miami and Alabama."
