"I'm not used to taking a long break, but we lost in the first round of the playoffs, so I had to get back into a rhythm," said Dawkins. "I had a lot of free time so I used that time to get prepared to show my talents at the combine."
Dawkins was pleased with how he threw in San Antonio.
"You have to look at it like it's no different than any other camp, and you have to come out like any other camp," said Dawkins. "I just played my game, came out here, did my thing and just adapted. It's a little more of a thinking process, because some guys' routes are a little different. But you just have to try and work through it. That's what makes a good quarterback great, the ability to think on the fly and do the little things others can't do."
Dawkins has two offers already and more schools have been showing interest in the four-star.
"I have Notre Dame and Utah offers, but there are a lot of schools saying that they're going to offer now that it's the end of my junior year," said Dawkins. "Notre Dame and Utah are still highly recruiting me."
Dawkins said both the local schools have been showing a lot of interest as well.
"UCLA and USC offers could happen," said Dawkins. "I went to a bunch of their games this year. Obviously, Notre Dame and Utah are higher on my radar because they've offered, but I definitely have interest in USC and UCLA."
LSU has also been showing a good deal of interest as well as a number of other Pac-12 schools.
"We'll see what happens, but I'm not going to let it stress me out right now," said Dawkins. "I'm just going to work hard this offseason. I lost 15 pounds over last summer of bad, lazy weight. So now I want to get back up to 215 and have it be really good weight."
Dawkins finished the 2012 season with 2,135 yards and 17 touchdowns and ran for 486 yards and seven touchdowns.
