"(I'm looking forward to seeing) the atmosphere, seeing something new, I'm just interested to see what it looks like and see what they have to offer me," Powell said.
The Mainland (Daytona Beach, FL) linebacker will visit the Trojans with his mother, father, and stepmother. He said their input is important to him, but ultimately he will make his own decision. Powell will visit South Carolina on January 25th and right now he's not sure if anyone will go with him.
"(I'll be looking to see) the same thing (as at USC). It's a little different atmosphere than Los Angeles, obviously. I've been there before, so I'm just looking to see what they have to offer," he said.
Powell also insists that he hasn't ruled out Florida, and he'll decide between the Gators, the Trojans, and the Gamecocks on Signing Day. He says the main factor in his decision will be where he feels the most at home.
"(I'm trying to see) if I can live there for four years and call it my home," he said.
