Neal takes UF Official

Keanu Neal has been committed to the University of Florida since February 2012. He has been a mainstay of this recruiting class and finally took his official visit this past weekend with a host of other recruits.

Keanu Neal checks in at 6'1 and 204-pounds with 4.45 speed. He is from Bushnell (FL) South Sumter high school and a four star prospect according to

"It was great to take my official visit. I have been there a lot so I didn't really see anything different. I did meet some new people and guys. We went through the academics, nutrition and strength and conditioning tours. I had a chance to meet Marcus Maye who was my host. I also met and hung out with Marqui Hawkins who is a pretty cool guy we got a long well. It's hard for me to think just about college because I have a few more sports I am playing."

Neal talked about his overall feelings on the Florida program and coaches.

"We are a family at the University of Florida. Spending time with the coaches at Coach Muschamp's house and the guys that are going to be coaching me for the next four years, it's just a family environment. Spending time with the coaches was the best part for me overall." take:

Neal is a very strong tackler and a hard hitting safety. He plays some in and out of the box, but he is best when attacking the football at full speed. His strength is against the run right now, so he will need to improve on his coverage when he gets to the next level. He will need to work on his footwork and his hip rotation. He has the size to play early and he will a hitter people talk about. - Chad Simmons
