"I had a wonderful time," he said of the trip to Westwood.
Fitts, a one time USC commit, relished in the opportunity to spend time with the staff, including some one-on-one time with, potentially, his future position coach.
"All of the coaches were awesome. I hung out most with [defensive line coach] Coach Angus [McClure]," he said.
Though he plays on the defensive side, Fitts' host for the weekend was an offensive lineman.
"My host was Xavier Su'a-Filo. He was a very cool guy and we had similar personalities, which meant we got along very well," he said.
There was one thing in particular that stood out to the 6-foot-4, 260-pound lineman.
"Out of all of the teams I've seen, UCLA has, by far, the closest family. All of the coaches and players make up a big family," he said.
Fitts, who graduated in December and could join a program on the quarter system as soon as March, recently told Scout that he would be taking all of his official visits (has two left) and will likely announce his decision on National Signing Day.
