Stringfellow talks USC official visit

Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Verde wide out Demorea Stringfellow has been a longtime Washington commitment but took an official visit to USC over the weekend.

Demorea Stringfellow said he hadn't heard from USC in a while but when they showed up on campus last week and asked him if he wanted to take an official visit, he obliged.

"It was cool but unfortunately, I got sick and had to leave early," Stringfellow said. "I left this morning and missed some of the meetings but it was still a good visit. The coaches were all great with me and it was cool to hang out with the players.

"Junior (Pomee) was my host and we're real close since he played at my school and it was great to hang out with him. The coaches let me know I had a spot there and they wanted a big receiver like me but I'm solid with Washington. I won't be taking any more visits and my commitment is now 100% firm, it always was but no more trips for sure."

Stringfellow committed to Washington at the Huskies Rising Stars Camp over the summer and said he has never wavered.

"I know a lot of people were concerned about me taking the visit to USC," Stringfellow said. "I understand that but I just did it because it's the local school, close to home and I haven't visited anywhere else other than Washington. I'm real good with Washington though, I'm tight with the coaches and the other recruits and I'm not going anywhere other than to UW next fall."
