6-foot-5, 228 pound tight end Darryl Long has picked up offers from Bowling Green, Illinois, Ohio and Pittsburgh throughout his junior season. He has now added his fifth offer to his list.
"Toledo came to my school and offered me," said Long. "I was really surprised about the offer."
There's a lot about the Rockets that Long likes about them.
"I like their coaching staff a lot, as well as its distance from home. I went to one of their basketball games which was fun."
The tight end has begun hearing from several new schools from several BCS conferences.
"I'm hearing from Michigan State, Penn State, Indiana, Akron, Louisville, Cincinnati, Duke and Boston College. I've also gotten mail from North Carolina State, Vanderbilt and Oregon."
Long also has a couple of visits set up for the near future.
"I'm going to Illinois January 26th and Pittsburgh February 2nd."
