Mid-Atlantic Quick Hitters

News and Notes on some of the top prospects in the Mid-Atlantic.

Derrick Green is down to Auburn, Michigan, and Tennessee. I would be very surprised if he does not commit to Michigan on Saturday at 4 p.m.

Coaches from Virginia Tech met with Virginia Beach (Va.) wide receiver Kwamane Bowens today. Along with the Hokies, Bowens is still considering Cincinnati, East Carolina, Old Dominion, and Texas A&M. According to sources close to the situation, Cincinnati leads for Bowens at this time, but I would not count out the Hokies or Old Dominion.

Hampton (Va.) Phoebus defensive end Mark Wilson decommitted from Old Dominion on Tuesday and committed to Cincinnati on Wednesday. Wilson has cancelled his official visit to Temple this weekend and is done with the recruiting process. He had double-digit scholarship offers at the time of his commitment.

Raleigh (N.C.) Broughton offensive lineman Wolfgang Zacherl committed to UNC-Charlotte on Wendesday. He chose the 49ers over offers from Army and William & Mary.

On Wednesday, Charlotte (N.C.) Mallard Creek wide receiver Jorian Jordan committed to The Citadel. He chose the Bulldogs over offers from Georgia State, Towson, and Youngstown State.

Conway (S.C.) playmaker Mykal Moody is down to East Carolina and Marshall. He will make his decision on Signing Day.

Coaches from Michigan, Notre Dame, and Ohio State stopped by Charlotte (N.C.) Catholic to see 2014 running back Elijah Hood today. He has offers from all three schools.
