Riley's new plans

Duke Riley was scheduled to visit Ole Miss this weekend and Kentucky during the middle of next week.

That has changed, however.

"I'm going to take a trip to Baton Rouge this weekend," Riley said late Thursday evening. "This is what I want to do. I talked to Coach Frank (Wilson) and he's fighting for me to come in this year (and not as a greyshirt).

"Coach Frank can't fight for me if I don't come to LSU this weekend. He talked to my dad and me, and said he wouldn't have brought Les Miles to my house (last night) if I wasn't an important player."

Riley says he'd still like to visit Ole Miss prior to National Signing Day.

"I'll visit if they still have a spot," he said.

He expects to arrive in Baton Rouge at 5:30 P.M. tomorrow.

"Dillon Gordon will be my host," he said.

Gordon, a true freshman tight end at LSU, was teammates with Riley on last year's John Curtis team.
