"The visit went great, I enjoyed my time. I spent time with the coaches, they really showed me a good time. It went good overall," he said.
The 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker spent plenty of time talking to Kentucky coaches about the program and the opportunities for him there.
"I really talked to Coach Eliot and Coach Stoops about playing time, they want me to come in and contribute right away. I'm a part of their first recruiting class, so they want me to come in and contribute," Kelsey said.
"I had a relationship with Coach Stoops and Coach Eliot from when they were at Florida State, so that goes a long way too."
Kentucky linebacker Avery Williamson was Kelsey's host on the visit and he said he had a great time getting to know the team.
"They were cool people, they showed me a good time. I really enjoyed myself," Kelsey said.
Kelsey will now talk over all his options with his family before arriving at a final decision.
"I'm just going to go home and talk to my family and see where it takes us and announce tomorrow," he said.
"It should be a little tough because this is a decision that's going to affect me for the rest of my life so I have to make the right choice."
