Jacobi Hunter has dropped eight pounds since he started on his latest workout regimen, slimming down and bulking up as he prepares for the next level.
After his official visit to California this weekend, though, he says he'll have to get back at it right-quick.
"I think I gained it all back," Hunter laughed.
While Hunter gained back some pounds, the Golden Bears gained Hunter's commitment, as he told the coaches before leaving on his all-day plane ride from SFO to LAX to Houston Hobbi that he wanted to come to Cal.
"I was looking at my options, and I'd only been on one official visit, so I extended it to two, and this is the place where I needed to be," Hunter said.
Previously committed to Indiana, Hunter had his offer rescinded when he decided to trip out to Berkeley, but he had a feeling that all the trouble would be worth it.
"I had options," Hunter said. "Luckily, I was blessed with a lot of interest in me, even coming up to the last weeks, so I didn't sweat it. If they felt that way, then that speaks to them, and I didn't think anything of it. I just worried about what I was going to do."
Stay tuned for more on Hunter's visit, and his commitment!
