Penn State Offers West

6-foot, 183 pound junior Darius West is having a busy Monday. The Lima Central (OH) safety picked up an offer from Penn State and has another Big Ten school coming in to see him.

Junior Darius West is making a name for himself on the recruiting scene. The safety has just picked up his fourth Big Ten offer.

"Penn State just came in today and offered," said West Monday afternoon. "It feels very good to get an offer from them. It's a great program."

That's not all. Another Big Ten school is on its way to look at the junior.

"Ohio State's Coach [Kerry} Coombs came and watched me practice. It was cool. We didn't really talk much because he wanted to see me practice. He was talking to my coach the whole time while watching me. He wants me to call him tomorrow."

So does West think an Ohio State offer could be on the way?

"Yes, I think so."

West has a lot of interest in the Buckeyes.

"I feel good about OSU. I've been talking to them a lot and getting more and more comfortable with the coaching staff."

West also holds offers from Akron, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Illinois, Indiana, Louisville, Purdue, Tennessee and Toledo.
