West: Final Top Ten Defensive Ends

The Inland Empire is home to the West's top two defensive ends in the 2013 class, Redlands (Calif.) East Valley's Kylie Fitts and Upland (Calif.) defensive end Joe Mathis...

West: Final Top Ten Defensive Ends
Location: Redlands, Calif.
High School: East Valley
Size: 6-4, 245
Recruiting: Notre Dame, UCLA, USC, Utah, Washington
The Skinny: The U.S. Army All-American edges out Mathis for the top spot at the defensive end position.  He missed part of his senior year with a wrist injury, but came back to work at the Army Bowl.  Has the quickness off the edge and strength already to play as a freshman.
Location: Upland, Calif.
High School: Upland
Size: 6-4/250
Recruiting: Committed to Washington
The Skinny: There's still not much separating Mathis from Fitts for that top spot in the region.  The MVP of the SoCal NFTC, Mathis played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and had a sack in the game, just minutes after he announced his commitment to the Huskies.
Location: Harbor City, Calif.
High School: Narbonne
Size: 6-3/265
Recruiting: Committed to Washington State
The Skinny: The top defensive lineman in the City Section, Lepua was a disruptive force for the Gauchos, who win their second straight CIF City Section title and ranked nationally.  Lepua was selected to the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl.
Location: Peoria, Ariz.
High School: Centennial
Size: 6-4/240
Recruiting: Committed to Washington
The Skinny: In terms of physical upside, Farria has more than anyone on this list. He's still raw, but athletically is off the charts.  He had a great performance at the UW Rising Stars Camp and then he committed to the Huskies a few weeks later.  If he gets everything taken care of off the field, the Huskies will have gotten a good one.
Location: Honolulu, Hawaii
High School: St. Louis
Size: 6-3/240
Recruiting: Committed to Boise State
The Skinny: In a good year for defensive prospects in Hawaii, Correa is one of the best from the Islands.  Had a great performance in the West Coast Bowl against some of the top offensive linemen in the region.

The Next Five:
6. Takkarist McKinley (Richmond, Calif.)- Committed to California
7. Calvin Allen (Albuquerque, N.M.)- Committed to Arizona
8. Austin Berk (Grand Junction, Colo.)- Committed to Colorado State
9. Garrett Hughes (Corona, Calif.)- Committed to California
10. Dakota Turner (Mililani, Hawaii)- Committed to San Diego State
