McGill focused on four

Demetri McGill is one of the top uncommitted prospects in Virginia. The Virginia Beach (Va.) Ocean Lakes defensive tackle is down to four schools.

Earlier this month, Demetri McGill decommitted from Maryland. Four schools are now in contention for the three-star defensive tackle.

"I'm still considering ODU, East Carolina, Temple, and UNC," said the 6-foot-2, 295-pound McGill. "I would say they are all even right now."

McGill took an official visit to one of those schools a few days ago.

"I went to Temple last weekend," McGill said. "It was a good visit. The coaches were telling me that they needed me and wanted me. They also told me I have would have a chance to play early."

Old Dominion and North Carolina are in the hunt for visits before he makes his announcement on Signing Day. Two factors will play a major role in his decision.

"I want go to a school that will take care of me and somewhere that I can get on the field as soon as possible," he said.

McGill finished his senior season with 120 tackles, 12 tackles, and 25 tackles for loss.
