The East's Top Uncommitted Players

FOXSportsNEXT takes a look at the top uncommitted players, and the soft commits, in the East Region as signing day approaches.

A look at the top remaining uncommitted prospects in the East Region:

Tyler Boyd, WR, Clairton High, Clairton, Pa.
Skinny: Boyd is committed to Pittsburgh, but he made an official visit to West Virginia over the weekend and is being talked to heavily by Tennessee. Boyd's inner circle is pushing Pittsburgh, but the intrigue of the offenses at West Virginia and Tennessee makes this interesting.

Augustus Edwards, RB, Tottenville High, Staten Island, N.Y.
Skinny: Rutgers pulled out of its recruitment of Edwards, who remains committed to Syracuse, prior to the weekend, which meant he did not make an official visit. He is still hearing plenty from Miami, Florida State and Syracuse, and has a visit set to Miami. Florida State seems to be in good position at this point.

Laray Smith, RB, Xaverian High, Brooklyn, New York
Skinny: Smith is still getting recruited strong by the Orange, and has seen a strong push from Connecticut. He is supposed to visit UConn this coming weekend, but Indiana is now in the mix as well. Where he goes this weekend could tell a lot.

Tashawn Bower, DE, Immaculata High, Somerville, N.J.
Skinny:The last week of recruiting will be busy for Bower, a "soft" commit to Auburn. Florida State was in Monday and LSU and Auburn are due in Thursday. Florida has tried to get in two see him twice but weather forced the cancellation of those trips. He also just came off a visit to LSU, and UCLA made a late play but so far it is only talk. He is making an unofficial visit to Auburn this weekend before making his final decision.

Jahmere Irvin-Sills, CB, Eastern Christian Academy, Elkton, Md.
Skinny: The one-time Auburn commit visited Mississippi State a few weeks ago and is also talking to Clemson and Tennessee. At this point, whether or not he winds up with Mississippi State could depend on other cornerbacks the Bulldodgs can bring in.

Reggie McGee, OLB, Our Lady Good Counsel, Olney, Md.
McGee was committed to Houston before the Cougars opted to move in another direction. At this point, he is talking to Purdue and Ohio, but a school could swoop in late and get him.

Yannick Ngakoue, LB, Edison Friendship High, Washington, D.C.
Skinny: The one-time Maryland commit will make an official visit to Maryland this weekend, and he hears plenty about the Terps from committed teammate Derwin Gray. Florida State and Maryland were both in to see Ngakoue on Tuesday. South Carolina is also in the mix.

Michael Parker, S, Kettle Run High, Nokesville, Va.
Skinny:Parker is slated to make an official visit to Arizona State this weekend, and he could leave campus as a Sun Devil. He is also hearing from Miami, but at this point appears to be ASU's to lose.

Kwamane Bowens, WR, Salem High, Virginia Beach, Va.
Skinny: Bowens is talking with Virginia Tech and also holds offers from Old Dominion from Cincinnati. The talented wide out is trying to make a decision sooner rather than later, but is being patient.

Damon Mitchell, QB, Cedar Creek High, Egg Harbor City, N.J.
Skinny: Mitchell is committed to Georgia Tech …for now. He is taking an official visit to Arkansas this weekend, and was told by Yellowjackets coach Paul Johnson his offer would be pulled if he took it. That opens the door for the Razorbacks, but if he doesn't like the visit, he is comfortable with Rutgers and could wind up there.

Tim Boyle, QB, Xavier High, Middletown, Conn.
Skinny: Boyle is committed to Boston College, but made an unofficial visit to Connecticut this weekend. He is also talking to Pittsburgh and Oregon, and could make an official visit to either of those schools over the weekend.
