Spartans Offer Three at Cass Tech

Three sophomores from Detroit Cass Tech (Mich.) picked up offers from Michigan State yesterday as the Spartans look to keep the trio in Green and White.

Michigan State stopped in at Cass Tech yesterday and before the day was out, three of the school's top sophomores had added offers from the Spartans.

Tailback Mike Weber, quarterback Jayru Campbell and defensive end/offensive tackle Joshua Alabi all added MSU to their offer lists.

"It feels good to get an offer from one of the top Big Ten schools," said the 5'9, 190-lb Weber.

He currently holds additional offers from Michigan, Illinois and Syracuse, and says he will visit East Lansing "pretty soon."

Campbell, a 6'3, 180-lb signal caller, has lead the team to two state titles already, and has earned verbal offers from Notre Dame and Alabama in the process.

"I'm glad Michigan State offered," he said. "I really appreciate them seeing something in me."

Alabi, a 6'5, 250-lb prospect earned his first offer from Michigan last week. He visited MSU for a couple games during the fall.

I met Coach Samuel, talked to him and a couple other ones [in the fall]. It was a night game, so we had got there pretty late. It was just a good time at Michigan State."
