Stanford Offer For Nicholson

Montae Nicholson is one of the top 2014 prospects in the state of Pennsylvania, and the hard-hitting safety has an impressive offer list. Nicholson picked up a big offer recently.

Monroeville (PA) Gateway safety Montae Nicholson is a top 2014 prospect, and college coaches have certainly taken notice.

Nicholson, 6-foot-3, 200-pounds, holds double-digit offers currently, and this week he added another big offer.

"Stanford offered this week," Nicholson stated. "I've been speaking with them for a while, and they've been out to Gateway before, so we're building a relationship. I found out this week I had the offer when they called my coach."

"This is a big offer for me, and I think a lot of Stanford," he added. "I'm honored to have this offer because of how great Stanford is as a university, both athletically and academically. Distance from home won't be a problem for me, and I know what having Stanford on my resume would mean to my future."

Stanford head coach David Shaw has made quite an impression Nicholson, who is planning to visit the Stanford campus next fall.

"I'm definitely planning an official visit to Stanford later this year," he explained. "I don't have a favorite list at all, but they will be high on my list until the end. They are offering me because of my athletic ability, the work I've done in the classroom and what I've done off the field."

"Coach Shaw is an amazing coach and I love their style of play," Nicholson said. "He's very aggressive in his style and I think he's one of the best head coaches in the country. My college choice will be based on more than football, so this is a very exciting offer for me."

Nicholson also offers from the likes of Michigan, Pittsburgh, Ohio State, Florida State, and others.
