"They are both working towards qualifying," Shakir said. They both have a shot. I don't see why they wouldn't eventually qualify. It's work but it's within reach for both of them."
Williams is waiting on a test score. He took the ACT this past Saturday. For Hearns it could be a little longer, as he has school work to make up and get completed.
"Times have changed and it's harder for these teams to sign and wait to see if a kid will make it. They can't take that chance anymore."
Williams, 6-foot-3 and 195-pounds, is the No. 42 ranked receiver but he's also a very good cornerback prospect with elite size. Hearns, 6-foot-4 and 230-pounds, is a massive middle linebacker ranked No. 43 in the county at that position.
