Beedle Steps Up Game

Sunday found Clarkston (Mich.) High defensive lineman David Beedle opening a few eyes with a solid performance at the Midwest Elite Big Man Camp. spoke with Beedle following his solid day.

While early eyes might have been on teammate Nick Matich during the Midwest Elite Big Man Camp in Wixom, Michigan they soon turned towards 6-foot-5, 265-pound David Beedle as he showed well during drills and then was just as dominating at Matich during one-on-one drills.

"I feel I did pretty well," said Beedle. "I could have done better, but there was good competition here."

Not holding an offer at this early stage of the recruiting process doesn't mean Beedle lacks teams showing interest.

"I've taken a visit to Michigan State, Central Michigan and Bowling Green," said Beedle. "Central and Bowling Green really like me and I'm going down to Toledo on the 23rd for a visit."

While Beedle is confident he'll soon hold an offer he knows what he's looking for in a program.

"I'm looking for a good coaching staff and a place where I feel welcomed," said Beedle. "Good academics and the atmosphere on campus are important."
