Auburn offers teammates

Auburn has evaluated and offered a pair of teammates out of one of the top high school programs in the state of Georgia.

Kalvarez Bessent and Chris Williams are two of the top defensive backs in the state of Georgia and they both picked up offers from Auburn on Tuesday.

"Auburn called our head coach (Jeff Herron) today and talked to him for a little bit and then Chris and I talked to them," Bessent told Scout.

"We talked to the defensive staff and the head coach. All of them were saying that they watched out film today, that they like us a lot, that they want us to visit them, and that we have offers from Auburn."

It has been a big week for this pair. Alabama offered them last Wednesday and now Auburn.

Bessent is a 6-foot-1, 170 pound corner who is physical at the line of scrimmage and Williams is a 6-foot-2, 175 pound safety with great range and speed to the ball.

When asked about Auburn, Bessent did not know much about them yet. Neither prospect has visited Auburn yet, but they will likely get over there in the near future.

Expect this duo to continue to reel in big-time offers in the coming months. Both will be in the updated 2014 Scout300 when it is released in March.
