The recruitment of Ford continues to grow following a junior season in which he had 154 tackles, 44 tackles for a loss, and 10 sacks. Georgia Tech is the latest school to offer Ford. "Georgia Tech called my coach and extended an offer." It was an offer that Ford was happy to get.
The offer from Tech was not a surprise to Poona. Georgia Tech had shown a lot of interest in Ford in conversations with his coach. "They were very interested in me and my coach felt an offer wasn't far off." Ford had the same feeling as his coach in his correspondence with Georgia Tech.
The offer from Tech makes them a school that Ford will continue to show interest. "I am very much interested in them and all the schools that have offered me."
While he has eleven early offers, Ford is not ready to name a favorite. "I am wide open and will continue to look at all the schools recruiting me."
Poona will not be looking to make an early decision in selecting his college destination. Ford does know that the decision probably won't come until after his senior season.
The school's facilities and the support the program receives will be two of the main factors Poona will be looking at as his recruitment moves along. "I want to feel at home when I am there and I want to build a relationship with the coaches."
At this time, Ford has not planned any visits to the schools that have offered. Poona's only plans will be to attend a few combines in March.
