Wheaton North (Ill.) quarterback Clayton Thorson is a hot commodity on the recruiting trail.
Thorson reached out to both, and in turn received two offers.
"I called both Boston College and Kansas today," Thorson said. "When I called they told me they wanted to extend a scholarship offer to me."
Those two offers put Thorson in double digits, at eleven total offers -- and are two that he is definitely excited about.
"Kansas is impressive because they have a great offense with Charlie Weiss as the head coach," Thorson said. "And Boston College is historically an awesome school and the new coaching staff seems like they will have success in the coming years."
Although Thorson has previously said he would like to visit many of the schools that have offered, there are no dates set.
"I haven't planned any visits yet for the spring," Thorson said.
Another common question that Thorson gets? When exactly he plans on committing to a school.
"My timetable for committing is probably most definitely before next season, and maybe before the summer," Thorson said. "But I am not 100-percent yet."
And in the meantime, Thorson has heard from several new schools.
