Profile: Noah Westerfield
High School: Frisco (Tx) Wakeland
Class: 2014
Position: LB
Size: 6'3/210
Recruiting: Westerfield, named the linebacker MVP at Next Level Athlete's DFW Top 100 Showcase in January, has garnered interest from LSU, Oklahoma and Baylor.

He will be attending his first junior day this weekend, traveling to LSU Feb. 16. He admits the Bayou Bengals are already his clear favorite.

"I went to the LSU-Alabama game in the fall, and it was unbelievable. If LSU shows any type of interest, I will commit. That's my favorite school," he smiled.

And while looking forward to Baton Rouge, he is also focused on basketball season and on maintaining "the right football weight" amidst.

"It's hard to keep weight on in basketball season, just because we're not in the weightroom much, but I'm making sure to hit the weightroom in the mornings and stay on those protein shakes to keep myself right. I really want to focus on my leg strength and my flexibility this offseason. Other sports may be calling me, but I'm staying focused on what I love and that's football."

And while he stars mainly at defensive end for Wakeland, the 6-foot-3, 205-pounder is projected at 'backer at the next level.
