He's a 5'9, 205lb running back with explosive speed and good power as well. He can run between the tackles, and if given a seem, he's one that can take it to the house.
In fact, he was so impressive last season that he averaged over 12 yards per carry, rushing for 513 yards and 8 TD's. He played behind two FBS stars last season, and will certainly be the focal point as a senior.
"Lately I've been running track for my school and just working out with my teammates and trying to get faster," the junior star said.
"All in all we had a great season, and I was happy with my play, but I know I have a lot of improvement to do to get to where I need to go."
Though pleased with what he accomplished last season, the talented RB said he hopes to keep pushing his game to the next level.
"I just want to help my team to another state championship by getting stronger, faster, and by really improving my ability to do what it takes to get to the end zone more," he said.
Several schools are taking an early notice.
"I've been hearing from Mississippi State, Arkansas, Tulane, Missouri, Southern Miss, and UCF," he said. "Right now I don't have any offers but I expect those to come.
"I went to a camp at Southern Miss, and I really like the program. I enjoyed my time on campus there last summer, and am very interested in the program."
Moreira said he hopes to take in junior days and get a feel for his options. He's looking for a school where he'll feel comfortable and have a chance to make an early impact.
