The 6-foot-5, 350-pounder received his first offer from Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide, but was offered on the spot when he visited Knoxville.
"Tennessee was great," Mosley told InsideTennessee. "Everyone kept bragging to me about it and it was a lot better than what I was expecting. They really shocked me up here. I really like their facilities and the Vol For Life program. I like it a lot."
Mosley, who is being recruited by Tennessee defensive line coach Steve Stripling, was made an immediate priority by the Vols and already has a solid connection with the Orange & White staff.

"Coach Stripling is a real cool guy," he said. "When he came down to my school he was really cool too. He had just got to Tennessee and his first trip was coming over to talk to me. The whole staff is a bunch of really good guys."
Growing up as a Tennessee native, Mosley always considered the Vols to be one of his favorites, but snagging an offer from Butch Jones and company really sealed the deal.
"They definitely became one of my tops schools," Mosley said. "They were always one of my top schools in my mind, but now that they offered me I am excited. I had been waiting on them for a while to come down here."
Mosley and the rest of what was an elite junior day crowd were treated to the Vols 30-point smack down of the Kentucky Wildcats in Thompson-Boling Arena, which showcased the Vols' passionate fan base.
"It just really showed me how their fans are," Mosley said. "Everyone said it was going to be loud and live in there and they really showed me. I could really picture myself playing here. It just showed me that it would be real nice if I did decide to play here."
Mosley, who was accompanied by his family, said the coaching stayed on him like glue throughout the visit and definitely impressed his mother, who will be a big factor in his recruitment.
"They stayed with me the whole time and had me going around meeting everyone," he said. "They showed me a lot of love. My momma liked them a lot and that is really what matter."
