Chris Register has now met with the new Wolfpack coaches on two occasions. On this most recent trip he was surrounded by a host of other recruits.
Saturday was the Pack's most recent junior day after an earlier event in January and Register was happy to attend since his first visit with Dave Doeren and his staff had gone so well.
Register has taken a wait-and-see approach with regard to the new staff and that's still the position he's in today. He wants to see how the program responds to new leadership so he will be watching closely this fall.
The Dudley linebacker listened closely to what the coaches told he and the other recruits on Saturday.
"The defense is going to be a 4-3 and they talked about that a little bit. They said they want to make the offense adjust to what the defense is doing instead of the defense adjusting to what the offense is doing," he said.
"I had a good time talking to (the coaches). It was a lot of people there but it wasn't hard to talk to them. I talked to coach Doeren and coach White mostly."
That's a message that resonated but he still wants to see how it looks on the field.
The 6-4, 220-pound linebacker has a lot of thinking to do. He picked up an offer from Florida State recently.
"It was nice to get it but everybody's pretty much in the same boat," he said.
