"I just got off the phone with California, and they have offered," Durkin stated. "They told me they watched film on 150 quarterbacks and they decided to offer me. I've never spoken to CAL before tonight, but I've always been interested in their program."
"This is another big offer in my eyes, and I'm very interested," he added. "They said they are looking forward to having me visit, and my dad and I are planning to do that this summer. I'm also going to check out Stanford at the same time, and they've been in contact as well."
"My parents are totally supportive in me going to school far from Ohio, and they just want me to find the right school no matter where it's located," he continued. "Football will only be one part of my decision, and the educational aspect will be just as important. I'm looking for the right school where I'm most comfortable. I've just started hearing from Tennessee lately, and I'd love to have that offer because I'm very interested in them."
Durkin recently attended the CORE-6 combine in Cincinnati, and showed a strong, accurate arm. His film also shows a power runner at the quarterback position.
He will be listed as one of the top overall 2014 prospects in Ohio, and also one of the best quarterback prospects in the Midwest.
