Aggies like Louisiana QB

Louisiana's 2014 class is loaded with an unusually large group of talented quarterbacks. Brandon Harris (Parkway), who currently holds two offers, sits at the top of that list. Texas A&M will host Harris next month for its junior day and he talks about that and more inside...

Brandon Harris has early offers from Louisiana Tech and McNeese State with several more schools, including Texas A&M, showing big interest.

"Texas A&M is sending the junior day invite to our school," he said. "I know their back-up quarterback, Matt Davis, real good. He gave Coach (Clarence) McKinney - the offensive coordinator and running backs coach - my info and Coach (David) Feaster sent my film.

"I just introduced myself to (Davis) when I met him a year ago. I saw his film, which is kinda like my film, and he's been a mentor since then."

What else is happening with Harris?

"I'm hearing from the same people," he said, "like LSU and Arizona State. I expect things to crank up once spring starts."

Harris hasn't named a frontrunner yet.

"You never know if you'll like a college until you visit," he said. "A&M is a good school, and you have to consider LSU."

Harris speaks highly of Feaster, the Parkway head coach.

"He's obviously a great coach," the 6-2, 180-pounder said. "He's a smart guy who finds a way to move the ball. Coach is a good playcaller. He knows my strengths and weaknesses and his offensive philosophy fits my playing style, which allows us to go out and do the things we do."
