Clark catching interest

Fort Wayne (Ind.) South Side corner back Donovan Clark is one to keep an eye on in the Midwest. Clark's father, Donnie, recaps his son's visits to Ball State and Purdue and explains what's next on the schedule for Donovan.

Fort Wayne (Ind.) South Side corner back Donovan Clark recently received his second offer from Ball State when he visited campus. Clark also touts an offer from Indiana.

"He really liked Ball State," Donnie Clark, Donovan's father, said. "He wants to major in Communication, and Ball State has a great program for that. We talked to Coach Pete Lembo in his office for about 30 minutes, and he showed us around campus. It was great."

Last weekend, Clark also visited Purdue, a school that has expressed heavy interest in the 5-foot-10, 170-pound corner back.

"Purdue was wonderful," Donnie Clark said. "New head coach Darrell Hazell seems like a great guy, a really laid back, old school guy that does things the right way. They told Donovan it's just a matter of time before they offer him, I know they were really impressed with his film."

Clark is visiting Indiana on March 2, and he'll visit Michigan and Michigan State in upcoming weeks. He's receiving interest from Iowa as well. Clark's father says Donovan is planning to attend Notre Dame junior day.
