Bunting Continues Roll With Buckeye Offer

The rapid ascent of Hinsdale Central (Ill.) junior tight end Ian Bunting continues as Ohio State has added their name to the mix.

Ian Bunting, a 6'6, 215-lb wide receiver who projects to tight end in college, has added another BCS offer to his list as Ohio State offered him tonight.

"It's another huge offer that I'm very excited about," he said. "They are a great program that has seen a lot of success and will see a lot more in the future."

Bunting trains at Core 6 alongside many other major prospects from the state of Illinois, several with Ohio State offers like linebacker Clifton Garrett, offensive tackle Jamarco Jones and defensive end Dylan Thompson.

His other offers include Oregon, Ole Miss, Iowa, Notre Dame, Indiana, Illinois and others. He has been to Columbus before.

"I visited earlier this year and liked the school and coaches a lot," he said.

The Buckeyes now join the top of his list along with Oregon, Notre Dame and Vanderbilt, who he named as his top three prior to the Ohio State offer.

He has visits scheduled to Oregon and Notre Dame and hopes to make a decision before his senior year. For now though, he is staying grounded and taking the run of major offers he has enjoyed in stride.

"Now more than ever, with everything that's going on in recruiting, I have to stay grounded and stay humble and just keep working at getting better everyday."
