Norland WR getting some early looks.

Steven Claude is a talented wide receiver prospect from Miami Norland High, and he is among the area's top prospects for the 2015 class.

Steven Claude started putting his name on the recruiting map as a sophomore in 2012. He finished the season with 12 receptions and three touchdowns. He also logged 11 tackles on defense.

"I have been working out a lot and doing lots of football practice lately," Cllaude said. "I wasn't able to run track this season but my events are the 100-meter, 200m and 4x100m."

Claude, 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds, is already starting to get some early looks.

"I've heard from West Virginia and Rhode Island so far," he said. "The schools I like right now are West Virginia, Florida State, Alabama, and UM."

Two of those schools really jump out to Claude right now, and he talked about them.

"It's between West Virginia and Miami because I want to be pediatrician and both of those schools have the best medical programs and really good football programs," he said.

The standout receiver talked about some of the things he'll be looking for when choosing a school.

"A good fan base, a good support system for their players, a good reputation for education and coaches that interact with their players as well as good teammates," he said.
