Josh Bolar, a sophomore athlete at Fayette County High School (GA), plans to take in the best of Mississippi this weekend.

The 5-foot-11, 230 pound defensive tackle and defensive end will see Ole Miss on Saturday, February 2nd followed by Mississippi State on Sunday, February 3rd.

"I heard the campus is beautiful," Bolar said of Starkville. "I want to see how well I could fit into their defense, and whether I could play there for four years."

The trip to Mississippi State will be a first for Bolar, as will his visit to Ole Miss.

"I want to see what the coaches are all about," Bolar said of his trip to Oxford. "I heard they are really on [an upswing] down there.

"I also want to see the facilities and become familiar with their defensive schemes," he continued.

Bolar plans to leave at 6 AM on Saturday in order to take full advantage of his Mississippi weekend.

Which of the rivals has the edge before Bolar's trip?

"Ole Miss was one of my childhood favorites," he said, although he admits he's open to playing at either university.

"I can't wait to get there," Bolar said.
