Edwards Excited About Newest Offer

Thursday proved to be a big day for Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton Woods defensive back Mike Edwards as he pulled in three new offers. However, one offer has him really excited as he explained to FOX Sports NEXT.

The past month has been a good one for Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton Woods defensive back Mike Edwards as he's added several scholarship offers.

However, Thursday proved to be a banner day as Edwards pulled in another big offer.

"Today I had Western Michigan, Akron and Nebraska offer me," said Edwards. "I talked with coach (Terry) Joseph and Coach K (Rick Kaczenski). They said they really like me and Coach K said he thinks I'm a great player and stuff like that."

While Edwards has never visited the Huskers in the past, he knows they are serious about their football.

"I really love Nebraska and have always watched them play Ohio State," said Edwards. "I've also watched them on television and know they have a great fan base as they don't have an NFL team. So they have a good fan base and a great stadium."

As for making his first trip to campus, Edwards hopes it happens soon.

"Right now I'm not sure when I'm going to visit," said Edwards. "I hope to go sometime this spring when I take some of my other visits."
