Las Vegas NLA 7on7: NW Top Ten

Scout takes a look at the Top Ten prospects from the Northwest region participating in the tournament this weekend…

Northwest Top Ten
Listed Alphabetically

LB Sam Bodine, NEI South
Canby (Ore.) High (2014)
Arguably the most athletic prospect on the NEI South squad. Bodine is a player poised to break out this weekend, much like Cal signee Johnny Ragin did for this team in last year's tournament.

QB Ross Bowers, NEI South
Bothell (Wash.) High (2015)
Along with Spokane (Wash.) Shadle Park quarterback Brett Rypien, will be the top signal caller in the state of Washington next season. Bowers has a huge arm and the potential to play Pac-12 football.

CB Amone Finau, Utah 2
Kearns (Utah) High (2014)
Finau has already verbally committed to play for Utah. While Finau could also end up at running back or linebacker in college; he is listed as playing cornerback for his team this weekend.

QB Austin Kafentzis, Utah 2
Sandy (Utah ) Jordan (2015)
The top Northwest quarterback in attendance this year, already boasting offers from BYU, Utah, Utah State and Wisconsin. Kafentzis should see his offer list continue to rise and will be one of the top passers in the West next year.

S/WR Isaiah Kaufusi, Utah 1
Salt Lake City (Utah) Brighton (2014)
Kaufusi is a rangy player that should excel at both wide receiver and safety in this tournament. With weight added in college he could even end up at outside linebacker. Kaufusi is a special talent that has family ties to both the BYU and Utah programs.

RB/LB Osa Masina, Utah 1
Salt Lake City (Utah) Brighton (2015)
Masina has been a big riser this spring, picking up offers from BYU, Michigan, Utah and Wisconsin. Osa is the younger brother of current Utah linebacker Uaea Masina and the Utes have to be an early favorite to land the versatile athlete.

RB Chico McClatcher, NEI North
Federal Way (Wash.) High (2015)
McClatcher is the most explosive NW prospect at the tournament, nicknamed the "Blue Mamba" for his game breaking ability. McClatcher already holds offers from Portland State, Utah and Washington. Expect him to have a huge offer list signing day 2015.

TE Dalton Schultz, Utah 1
South Jordan (Utah) Bingham (2014)
Schultz is a four-star and arguably the top tight end in the entire country. Many think that Schultz will end up at Stanford, but the Cardinal have stiff competition. He holds over a dozen offers, including Nebraska, Notre Dame, UCLA and Washington, who all offered this week.

RB Ula Tolutau, Utah 1
Salt Lake City (Utah) East (2014)
Tolutau is a talented tailback that put up massive numbers last season for East. He already holds offers from BYU and Utah, and I would expect him to stay in-state. We will see what his receiving abilities are this weekend.

S Kavika Fonua, Utah 1
Syracuse (Utah) High (2014)
Fonua was a star in last year's tournament, making an overtime interception to seal the Utah championship. Fonua is a player that I think is undervalued and I would expect to see his offer list grow in the near future.
