Bowens commits to Hawaii

Virginia Beach (Va.) Salem playmaker Kwamane Bowens committed to Hawaii on Friday night.

Hawaii secured a huge commitment on Friday when 2013 three-star prospect Kwamane Bowens committed to the Warriors.

"He committed to Hawaii," said Salem assistant coach Dontrell Leonard. "He will sign on Sunday."

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Bowens made his decision while on his official visit to the school.

Bowens is the 74th-ranked wide receiver prospect in the 2013 class, but Hawaii is recruiting him to play defensive back.
